Dr. George Freeman Jr., attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in May of 2000. He then attended Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences in 2003, and then a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April of 2005. Upon graduation Dr. Freeman was licensed to practice in Georgia and began practice in Atlanta as an independent contractor in a family based healthcare practice. In 2007 Dr. Freeman expanded his practice area to include working with an integrated practice model, by co-managing patients with musculoskeletal conditions while working at Anwan Wellness Medical Center in Hapeville, Georgia. Dr. Freeman has also practiced as an associate for the “The Joint…the chiropractic place”, which provides affordable and convenient chiropractic care on a “walk -in” basis, and is one of the nation’s largest chiropractic franchises.
From a very early age, Dr. Freeman has been very active in sports and athletics, and as a result takes a keen interest in treating patients with sports injuries and improving sports performance through chiropractic care. Dr. Freeman has been certified by the American Aerobic Association International & International Sports Medicine Association (AAAI/ISMA) as both a personal fitness trainer, and as a strength conditioning and weight training consultant. After opening a private chiropractic practice in Smyrna Georgia, Dr. Freeman was granted the opportunity to return to his Alma Mater, as the team chiropractor for the 2009 SIAC track and field champions - The Morehouse College Maroon Tigers. Although, Dr. Freeman remains intimately connected to athletes and enjoys the challenge of treating athletic injuries, his thirst for knowledge and desire to become a more versatile doctor led him to the study and treatment of auto injury accidents. In 2009 Dr. Freeman was granted licensure to practice chiropractic with physiotherapy privileges in the state of Maryland. Shortly thereafter, he joined Dr. Clerge and the Best Injury Centers team as the Chiropractor for Maryland Injury Center and Maryland Therapy. In 2012, Dr. Freeman was granted licensure as a Supervising Chiropractor by the State of Maryland. He is currently studying to obtain certification as a National Registry Certified Medical Examiner. Upon completion of this course, Dr. Freeman will be certified to perform physical qualification examinations for commercial vehicle drivers. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Freeman enjoys sports, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and son.
